I have a few pieces of hotel silver. I think on the whole it is ignored as a category of silver collecting. However, this morning I ran across this sideshow. It is a little thin on information but worth a quick look. It is from the Country Living website.

ReplyDeleteThere is something about hotel silver that has a better weight to it than other plate. I like how it feels in the hand and I like the muted sheen it usually has.
ReplyDeleteare sugar bowls from hotel vendome in boston of any value. i think they are silver plate by gorham with the vendome marked on the bottom
