  1. I just bought a "cake dish". It is labeled "Rogers, Smith & Co. Hartford Ct. #1854.
    I have no idea if this is very valuable. According to your history, it may have been made around 1857. Please comment.

  2. That sort of thing is so hard to tell without a picture. For most silver plate style is the best way to guess at age. You can send me a picture here: redavis001 (at) gmail.com
